What People Are Saying About Paul Smith

by Administrator | post a comment

In Short - paul smith store unites design-with-a-twist men's and women's fashions under the same roof in his only West Coast shop. Famous for concealing thoughtful design elements in almost every garment-from whimsical embellishments and lace linings to unexpected buttons-Smith's hot pink space is divided into boutiques that look like film sets: a 19th-century Paris apartment and an 18th-century Avignon chateau. Along with his creations are quirky personal finds like spider cufflinks, wooden moose heads and Bakelight bracelets.

I just had a terrible experience with this store and its manager. I purchased a beautiful and expensive suitcase from them only to have the handle break.I am trying to get the replacement part and the manager said they can only send me to a luggage repair shop and hope a generic part will work. This is not why I purchased a 600 suitcase. Buyer beware, if you want a suitcase you can maintain, buy paul smith men from a company who specializes in such things, no matter how beautiful the bags at paul smith sale.

paul smith outlet is famous for combining traditional English tailoring with puckish details, and the hundreds of cuff links available at his shop are no exception. Wedding-appropriate wares include black-enamel typewriter-key cuff links: Grooms can select the initials of their betrothed. Find other paul smith shoes creative styles in obscure materials such as ivory or semiprecious stones. Also peruse the collection of antique cuff links.

Paul Smith mixes classic

by Administrator | post a comment

English fashion design often conjures up images of scratchy wool plaids and tweed, but that's not paul smith bag style. I have always loved combining the old and new, says the Brit, who's famous for taking classic bespoke-tailored clothing and adding cheeky twists using a rainbow-colored palette. The result of this style-melding is items like a simple sweater infused with flashy purple and brown stripes, a jacket detailed with leather straps and piping, or a navy jacket with a bright-pink lining. And though the bold clothing may be the first thing shoppers notice, paul smith trainer also has accessories to match-think aqua flower-shaped cuff links and red dial watches for men, or gray agate teardrop earrings and swirl print purses for women.

The Fifth Avenue location carries only the men's lines, but female fans of paul smith scarf distinctive collections can hit the 5,000-square-foot flagship Soho store-located in the former Pace Gallery space-which carries all three women's collections and various pieces for men. The Soho space, spread over several linked rooms, best represents the brand's vintage-meets-modern eclectic style: antique reclaimed oak floors and vintage books contrast with a steel-clad counter and even pieces of artwork belonging to Smith.

Paul Smith makes the best oxfords in the market

by Administrator | post a comment

I LOVE this Paul Smith Musa Trainer place! No, it's not cheap, but it isn't supposed to be. The emphasis is clearly on quality and style.
If you go, ask for Armando. He is the salesperson I use. Paul Smith men's shoes has great style and is good at helping you in anyway he can. The same can be said of virtually the entire staff.
Granted, these are tough financial times for all but the extraordinarily wealthy. However, that doesn't mean one need look like a hobo.
No one is telling you to go there and break the bank by purchasing an entirely new wardrobe (if you did, however, you would look spectacular) But, what's the harm in picking up a great tie, or a shirt.or those amazing socks!
I recently received socks as a gift (Thank You, Anna!) and I love paul smith sale.
Check it out!

Where Happiness Is on paul smith

by Administrator | post a comment

For years, I've searched for a pair of men's oxfords, and I found my perfect pair here in the women's collection. They've continue this paul smith men style for a few years now. Cheaper styles are available elsewhere, but Smith has the best design.Service depends on your luck. Some associates are very knowledgeable with great attitude, but some are snobby and couldn't care less.Overall,I am satisfied. Haven't been to the Brooklyn sale shop, because they don't seem to have many women's items there paul smith bags.

The large box-shaped shop opened in October and offers styles at 30 percent off regular retail prices. It was in a bit of disarray. Shirts were piled in toppling stacks, and suits, crammed onto hangers, were a little rumpled. It resembled an overstuffed 99-cent store more than a paul smith sale shop.

A very good selection of PS stuff. Cuff links and ties. yay! Nicely laid out and the design of the store is very PSmithy Certainly worth a visit for all PS fans out there.

I love Paul Smith stuff

I love paul smith trainer. A lot. Yet, I've always been disappointed with the limited department store selection at Barney's Bloomies, etc. and the smallish boutique he has on 5th Ave. in the Flatiron District. But no longer. This gargantuan new flagship store on Greene is just what the doctor ordered. Now there's room after room after room of the designer's trademark colorful, witty designs. And there paul smith scarf was much rejoicing.

Oh, and Kuv, we meet again on the fashion frontier,Paul Smith Musa Trainer and once again our tastes coincide. You've obviously been missing out, though, because they do have sales.Big massive ones like the one I just went to where I bought an absolutely amazing blazer for 50 off.The entire friggin store was on sale.

this shop hosts the best of Paul Smith

by Administrator | 1 comments

I'm a huge a paul smith sale fan, so when I heard about a larger flagship store opening in Soho I was definitely very excited. A couple of things to note - the 5th ave store was great but they actually didn't do any of the tailoring on premises. So, you'd spend a large sum of money on a tailored suit, and it would be sent out for any alterations (Luigi's on 7th ave if you're wondering - true, he does do an amazing job). So for most people in the know it always made sense to buy Paul Smith from Saks or Bloomies because you'd have free, guaranteed alterations, points, and view a much larger Paul Smith men's shoes selection.

Ah, the games all changed now - Paul Smith on Greene has an in-house tailor, a huge collection of the different lines - PS Jeans, Blue, London, Luxury, etc. and best of all, for me, all the little quarks that makes Paul Smith such an exciting brand. For example, if you're into rare art books, or traveling (complete selection of wallpaper city guides to an assortment of overnight bags) you have to check out this store!

Lastly, while I'm obviously a fan of the store, I'm not saying you can't still get a better deal on Paul Smith gear elsewhere in the city-saks, bloomies (atleast they have a sale or two?)-I'd still visit the store for the full paul smith men experience though - cheers And true Sam,they do have two annual sales, but notice they're timed with last-cut at saks and final at barneys-where you'd save even more.

A great paul smith atmosphere in here

by Administrator | post a comment

I guess i should write two reviews about this store. First one about the store.I have been a Paul Smith fan for quite a bit and make sure I visit their London store(s) every time I visit London. And I previously enjoyed their 5th Ave store. I love their paul smith store cuff links, shirts and suits. And the stores are just really special because they find offer more than just PS clothes, it feels like going to a flee market.

now my second review, which is about the customer service at the store. I recently bought some sneakers there and the store clerk was fantastic in helping me. But once I got home (to Washington dc) and wore them for an extended time for the first time the shoes just gave me the worst blisters. After two weeks I finally called the store (I was traveling in between) to ask if there was any chance to return the paul smith shoes (I not only had worn them for a day, but i also didn't have the box any more, neither did I have the receipt). They told me if i would send them a credit card statement with the shoes that would be fine.

So after another week of procrastination (at this point more than a month had gone by) I mailed the shoes to the store. They called me back two days later and said they would refund me the paul smith wallet on my credit card-I was honestly just expecting a store credit.

Paul Smith, You can find insipiration in everything

by Administrator | post a comment

One of the few British-based fashion designers to combine commercial success with critical credibility, paul smith bag(1946) is renowned for his idiosyncratic take on traditional British styling-classics with a twist - both in his fashion collections and his shops.

paul smith trainer fell into fashion by accident. As a jobless 15 year-old who had left school with no qualifications, he was frogmarched by Harold Smith, his father, into a Nottingham clothing warehouse one day and forced to take a job there as an errand boy.

That was back in the 1960s.paul smith scarf who once described himself as being okay at design and okay at business but exceptional at neither, has since become Britain's most consistently successful fashion designer whose products are sold in over 200 shops and through 500 wholesale customers in Japan alone, where his label out-sells every other European designer.

Born in Nottingham in 1946, Paul Smith remembered his family home a few miles outside the city centre as always very comfortable. excellent mum, quirky dad, an always stable, good relationship. When he left school at 15, his only ambition was to become a racing cyclist until his father hauled him off to the clothing warehouse. When I look back I realise how influenced I was by Nottingham, wrote Smith years later. I'd cycle around, there'd be the coal miners, Derby tweeds and the elegance of the country squires. My brother worked for the Post Office and wore that Paul Smith Musa Trainer.

During his first two years at the warehouse, Smith had no real interest in his work there except for the cycle journey to and from his home. It was only after an accident ended his dreams of becoming a racing cyclist, that he flung himself into his job. Just by chance I met a lot of people from the art college and became interested in things like art and fashion,he recalled. Back at the warehouse I started to make displays in the showroom. The boss was really impressed and he gave me all the buying to do for the Paul Smith men's shoes when I was still only 17.

When a friend from art college decided to open a fashion boutique in Nottingham, Smith found the premises, decorated them and ran the paul smith sale shop as its manager. By 1970, encouraged by his girlfriend Pauline Denyer,he felt ready to go it alone by ploughing his 600 savings into Paul Smith Vtement Pour Homme on Byard Lane, a shabby back alley. The rent was 50p a week:just as well given that the first week's takings came to 52. Open only on Fridays and Saturdays, the shop was scented with Christian Dior Eau Sauvage to overpower the smell of Smith's Afghan hound. During the rest of the week, Smith made ends meet from freelance jobs as a window dresser, tailor and stylist. In the evenings, he signed up for a fashion design course.

I am a fan with the Paul Smith

The only paul smith men shop outside London to sell labels like Kenzo and Margaret Howell, Paul Smith VĂȘtement also started selling the pieces that Smith designed himself and had made up by local manufacturers. Then, as now, his clothes were inspired by the traditional British men's wear he admired:everything from his brother's Post Office shirts and the tweeds of the Nottinghamshire county set, to the imported US jeans and bespoke suits in unusual blues or greens that he wore himself. The hardest thing was justifying the name designer for myself when I only made such simple clothes.I ended up designing clothes that I wanted to wear myself and felt good in. Well-made, good quality, simple cut, interesting fabric, easy to wear.paul smith outlet.

By 1974, the paul smith shoes shop had outgrown its back alley and Smith moved to bigger premises on the main street. Two years later, he showed his collection in Paris for the first time and searched for a London shop, finally finding it in a tiny bakery in the then-rundown Covent Garden. The area was completely empty at the time-there was just the tube and a fruit shop. It took me six months to find out who owned it, it turned out to be a retired baker.I asked if he would sell it and he said he would for about 30,000. I went to Barclays (Bank) in Nottingham and asked if they would lend me 5,000 or 10,000, but the manager didn't like the fact that I had long hair and a red scarf, and wouldn't lend me anything. Then I went to the Yorkshire Bank in Nottingham and they lent me 10,000. My tailor lent me 10,000 and then I went to the baker and said that I only had 20,000. I think he lent me some and I got it for around 25,000 in the end.

paul snith are some beautiful rich colours

Having bought the paul smith wallet shop, Smith didn't have enough cash to do it up. Three years later he did and the tatty old bakery fittings were stripped out and the shop spruced up into a stark, elegant Le Corbusier-inspired style. As well as clothes, Smith sold quirky penknives, notebooks and pens paul smith bags that he picked up on his travels. His most inspired find was the Filofax, a leatherbound personal organiser he unearthed at Norman; Hill, a tiny company hidden under an East London railway arch.

When the neighbouring shop came up for sale, Smith bought it. As he didn't have the heart to rip out the lovely old wooden fittings, he patched them up instead. The extra space was used to sell more idiosyncratic things-old Beano annuals, first-edition books and, after he began travelling to Japan in 1982, comical Japanese toys and gadgets-alongside Smith's clothes. He filled the windows with furniture by designer friends like Tom Dixon and James Dyson's G-Force vacuum cleaner. As a young designer, Marc Newson stopped by to show Smith a watch in the hope of persuading him to sell it. Paul said:It's a nice paul smith trainer, but it's not a nice price, recalled Newson. He was right. It was too expensive. That was an important lesson for me.

William Gibson of the Paul Smith style

by Administrator | post a comment

By then,Smith has coined a phrase to describe his style, paul smith scarf classic with a twist.I take ingredients from upper-class tailoring, hand-made suits and so on, and bring them together with something silly,he explained. So I might bring together a beautiful suit with a denim short.Or use floral prints inspired by old-fashion seed packets for Paul Smith Musa Trainer, or line tailored jackets with flamboyantly coloured silks, or ask a factory which specialises in V-necked school sweaters to knit them in crazy colours.Paul Smith men's shoes is as though he possesses some inner equivalent of the Houndsditch Clothes Exchange - not a museum, but a vast, endlessly recombinant jumble sale in which all the artefacts of his nation and culture constantly engage in a mutual exchange of code, wrote the US novelist William Gibson of the Paul Smith style

Paul Smith Sale Shop

by Administrator | 1 comments

Smith has since stuck to the same formula, for both his collections and paul smith sale shops, as his wholesale business has expanded and he has opened more shops in Asia, the US and Europe while diversifying into everything from women's wear and watches to perfume. The shops are still filled with first-edition books like Cecil Beaton's autobiographies, 1960s posters and quirky Japanese flea market finds: and their windows are as likely to display Apple's new computer or the latest video games system as paul smith men.

"The reason I've been successful is because I've just got on and packed boxes and I know that VAT means Value Added Tax not vodka and tonic, Paul Smith wrote in his book You can find inspiration in everything. I've sold on the shop floor, I've typed invoices. At some point I've done everything, and I've always kept my head above water financially. Nevertheless I'm extremely nervous about becoming a businessman and not a designer.
